Happy Sunday everyone. Let's talk about why you shouldn't reach for that cup of coffee everyday.

Coffee, more specifically caffeine, affects the body in many different ways, and ultimately has psychological and physiological effects similar to some illicit drugs. When you drink coffee, your brain sends signals to your adrenal glands, which create a adrenaline and cortisol. The constant drinking of coffee and caffeine slowly (faster than you think) weaken your response to adrenaline, which is why you overtime will consume more and more caffeine. You have now become addicted at this point. You have weakened your normal adrenaline response, which is why if you don't have your coffee in the morning you feel like shit. On top of that, the cortisol you are over producing (stress hornmone) affects your memory, immune system, sex hormone production, vision, pH, blood pressure and much much more. Coffee, specifically, has been proven to decrease fertility in women because it has such a profound affect on women's normal metabolic function. Do yourself a favor a slow your roll on the caffeine.
