The power of the avocado! Avacados are naturally one of the most delicious and nutrient dense plant foods out there. They contain more potassium than bananas and a ton of fiber. Not only that, but they are loaded with vitamins and minerals, plant sterols, phytochemicals, and health fats. Avacados naturally raise the healthy HDLs (good cholesterol) while lowering the LDLs (bad cholesterol). The fats in an avocado even aid in the better absorption of carotenoids, which are precursors to vitamin A. The pit of the avocado is also nutrient packed!! Try blending it into your smoothies! The list goes on and on. Try incorporating avocados into your food to start reaping the various nutritional benefits avocados can provide.
