Random But Useful Nutrition Fact #14

The body is a system. Organs need other organs to thrive and regulate all sorts of different functions. For instance, your bones depend on your thyroid gland. When there is a high concentration of calcium in the blood, the thyroid releases calcitonin to stimulate calcium to be deposited into the bone. The thyroid is also responsible for the release of calcium from the bone. In the end, do yourself a favor and take care of your thyroid gland, for the sake of your bones.
